Mat and Breean Nugent serve up Texas-focused cooking in a historic craftsman house off the main square in Rockwall. Wood-grilled vegetables, chicken and steaks form the core of the menu. Full bar. Smoking area on the patio.
Bin 303
They did a great job on the renovation! It has a warm and friendly feel to it. Great place for a quite date night. The food is awesome and you can tell a chef prepared it. The blue cheese corn is so good. The potatoes are my favorite. I craved them when I was pregnant. They have a seasonal menu, so things will change depending on when you go. I don't drink alcohol so I can't comment on the wine or beer, but my husband was satisfied! We rarely eat out, but choose Bin 303 when we do. You will not be disappointed.
I have eaten at the Bin 303 twice now and I keep on dreaming about the food. The calamari is to die for and so are all the desserts. The wine prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is great. I would go every night if I could. Best food in DFW - I promise!

You've got to love the idea behind Bin 303. Breean Nugent and her husband, Mat Nugent -- he's a Culinary Institute of America-trained chef, she runs the front of the house -- fell in love with the historic craftsman house near Rockwall's main square, and spent 17 months renovating and outfitting it. The menu focuses on local and other Texas products (and bears a "Go Texan" stamp). But something gets lost in the execution. (Full review)
