The most popular restaurant in Richardson may be one you've never even heard of: Saigon Block. On a recent Sunday evening, the line was out the door of the 150-seat Vietnamese place, which chef-owner Danh Phan opened two years ago. (Full review)

One of the most memorable dinners I've had in Dallas lately was at this sleek, spacious restaurant in Richardson. Unable to decide between two of the house specialties – roasted whole catfish (ca dut lo) and seven courses of beef (bo bay mon), we ordered both. It was way too much food for the four of us, but it was outstanding. (Full review)

Bad Bad Bad

Pho was awful. Spring rolls were wet and gummy. Noodles were old and sticky. Apparently the only thing this place does well is catfish. Skip it if you are looking for any type of good service or anything other than fried catfish maybe beef 7 ways.
And, living in the area, I can tell you, There has NEVER been a line out the door. At lunch on a Friday at noon, they had 6 tables of customers.
