Don’t ask for vindaloo or chicken tikka at chef Vijay Sadhu’s modern Indian bistro in the Shops at Legacy, and no, there’s not a buffet. Instead, look for dishes like Goan scallops in a suave coconut and tamarind kari sauce; onion seed prawns with fried okra; and Peshwari rack of lamb; plus a selection of vegetarian dishes. Desserts are exotically delicious. Full bar.

The chef, who was last seen wearing the executive chef hat at Samar by Stephan Pyles when it opened in 2009, simply has no interest in the kind of choose-your-protein curry-bomb dishes you find at most Indian restaurants around town.
