Shabda'rtha, aka The Sound and the Meaning, is an eclectic kirtan (spiritual chant and song) ensemble headed up by local professional musicians David Rosenblad and Shanti Michelle. Our performances and renditions of classic chants and bhajans, as well original material are all inspired by various traditions and the belief that many different paths lead to the one Divine.
Dubbed as the "house band" at Blue Anjou Yoga Studio in Lewisville (http://www.blueanjou.com/), we are available to perform at
a wide variety of events, kirtans & satsangs, concert performances, yoga classes, parties, etc.

The Sound and the Meaning is a hidden gem in the DFW area. The growing popularity of kirtan means that artists and musicians of varying levels of skill and breadth are emerging and giving the trend momentum. However, TSatM sets the standard for technical talent, variety and authenticity. You'll see great things from this band of merry music-makers.
