The Art of Getting By

Hollow and pretentious, the aptly named The Art of Getting By is a great example of what not to do when making a coming-of-age drama. It’s one of those cheap knockoffs in which Manhattan teens live like well-to-do young socialites, toss out lines that make them sound like philosophy majors with poor reading comprehension skills, and come across as thoroughly phony.
