Every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way, according to Tolstoy, except in mainstream movie comedies where many unhappy families are exactly alike. The latest proof is Peep World , a family circus of dysfunction that’s so familiar you may feel tempted to place bets on how everything will shake out, and painless enough that you might not resent doing so. That’s particularly the case whenever Michael C. Hall and Judy Greer, as a troubled married couple, show up and, by virtue of their professionalism, help to distract you from the flat jokes, ethnic clichés and formulaic relationships noisily vying for your attention.
