Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr.) will be a dad for the first time when his wife gives birth in five days. He intends to catch a flight home from Atlanta so he can be there for the delivery, but a chance encounter with aspiring actor Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis) throws a monkey wrench into his plans. Desperate to reach his wife before their baby is born, Peter's sanity is tested when he must take a road trip cross-country with dog-toting Ethan.
Movie theaters showing Due Date near Dallas,TX:
This movie has to be one of the most offensive, dumb, latrine, and really juvenile movies that I have suffered through in a long time - a very long time. Before I say this, I must offer my apologies to the teenage young men out there that I know, but I can only see this movie having mild appeal to the young teenage male demographic - and this is a stretch.
The draw for me in deciding to see the movie was Robert Downey, Jr. Boy, was I disappointed. At about 30 minutes into the film, I almost walked out. After a few scenes that I saw in latter parts of the movie, I wish that I had.
Seriously, you will waste your money going to see this picture. If you do, it will leave you feeling icky at the end. So, I can only generously give it half of a star.

Zach Galifianakis was the smart bomb of last year's hit comedy The Hangover, a bearded deadpan jester who constantly leaned in from the periphery to grab the big laughs. Now Hangover director Todd Phillips has moved Galifianakis front and center, opposite straight man Robert Downey Jr., in the new road comedy Due Date. The blame may not rest entirely on the funnyman's shoulders, but the shift from secret weapon to leading man hits a few unfortunate speed bumps along the way. (Full review)
