The Fort Worth Herd

It's billed as the world's only twice-daily municipal cattle drive, and somehow that's not hard to believe. At 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., longhorns are driven down East Exchange Avenue by cowhands. The photo-op extraordinaire was established by the city of Fort Worth in 1999 to help celebrate its 150th anniversary. No drives are held on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. Drives may be canceled in inclement weather, and occasional changes to the schedule may occur.
