Hope springs eternal for bar owners. (Boy, does it ever.) So there is Sunset Lounge, cramped and location-challenged but feisty, based on brief acquaintance. Shirt Guys and Medium Gals quickly filled up the 2,200-square-foot interior for the grand-opening party. The groove-lounge background throb was very 1999, but that's OK. A couple of quibbles: Signage is too subdued for that ragged stretch of Ross, and the patio deserves some finish-out, which no doubt is coming.
Who was there: Generally twentysomethings, resplendent in striped shirts and teddy tops.
How happening: Packed by midevening.
On the seven deadly sins scale: A mild-mannered three of seven: lust, pride, sloth. Absent: greed, gluttony, envy, wrath.
