In snazzy, spacious new digs a block north of its old location, this 10-year-old spot offers an eclectic mix of starters and a small selection of well-prepared, responsibly sourced antibiotic- and hormone-free steaks. More creative fish and meat dishes have varying degrees of success. Tables near the bar can be noisy; request a quiet booth if conversation is a priority. Full bar.

Consider Perry's the upscale underdog on this list: Among the numerous expense-account burgers we've recently devoured, this $16 lunchtime-only entrant made of prime aged beef most dazzled us with how not leaden it was for a chili burger (and we even added cheddar). (Full review)
If you're looking for a great steak in a more intimate setting, The Place at Perry's (formerly known as Perry's), just might be the place for you. (Full review)
Perry's, the 7-year-old Routh Street steakhouse, has changed its name to The Place at Perry's. My guess is that patrons won't care much: I'll bet they'll keep calling it Perry's, and keep coming back. For me, the name change seemed like just the occasion to see what (The Place at) Perry's is all about. (Full review)
