*The Dallas Morning News has selected this location as one of the Top 100 Restaurants in D-FW.*
Dallas isn't exactly known for its great seafood restaurants, but this stylish downtown spot in the historic Busch-Kirby Building is probably the most interesting and ambitious. The glassed-in "wine room" is better for conversation than the more attractive main dining room. No smoking area. Full bar. A midsized, midpriced wine list with choices from around the world offers some decent choices by the glass.

A sheet of lightly pounded raw bigeye tuna, drizzled with a little fruity olive oil and flakes of sea salt, completely covers a velvety slab of foie gras au torchon. A charred octopus tentacle, impossibly tender, wraps around sliced chorizo; a crown of delicate celery leaves sets it off. It’s paired with a chorizo-and-octopus-filled piquillo pepper with avocado and chorizo oil. At Dallas Fish Market, fish and seafood star in dishes adventurous, inventive and often nuanced. The restaurant impresses much less with its sushi and raw bar than with its creative, chef-driven appetizers and main courses. (Full review)
On the eve of the new year, a time of reckoning and reviewing, it will come as no great shock if, in thinking about our city and all the wonderful things it offers to eat, we must admit that Dallas doesn't exactly distinguish itself by the quality of its seafood restaurants. (Full review)
