Best place to reach visual nirvana: Remember when that plucky little film Avatar hit the scene late last year? Did you try to see it in Imax 3-D? Did you have to wait a couple of weeks to get tickets? There's a reason for that. Perched just to the side of the regular 17-plex, Cinemark's Imax 3-D is a world apart in experience. When you land on Pandora here you feel like you can touch the flora and fauna. The theater does more than just Avatar, too: This is the place to go for nature extravaganzas, concert films (U2 3D was a roof-raising ride) and whatever else looks good with a jumbo shot of extra size and depth. Helpful hint: Find a place in the middle of the theater for the full-on experience. And it never hurts to order your tickets early. (Full review)
