CLOSED: Decanter Restaurant and Wine Lounge

408 N. Bishop Ave., Suite 66, Dallas, TX, 75208

Opened Dec. 29, 2010.
Tony Gardizi, executive chef at Capriccio Ristorante in Addison, has just opened sibling concept Decanter Restaurant and Wine Lounge in Oak Cliff's Bishop Arts District, which will offer more than 150 wines (30 by the glass) and is open seven days a week.

From the look of the menu online, Gardizi (who retains his position at Capriccio) is moving in a more New American direction, with dishes as diverse as slow-cooked pork belly with English pea waffles and asparagus ragout and apple-pear grilled tofu with baby bok choy and Japanese eggplant miso.

And get this: The Sunday brunch buffet includes unlimited sparkling wine.

Loved it! If you're a "real person" seeking enjoyment, Decanter is it

Celebrated a girlfriends birthday here the other night and we LOVED it! If you're looking for a new beat off Bishop Arts District (BAD), this is it.

Food was very good, flavorful and artfully presented. But I really judge a place if I like the food, service with a smile and good energy, big plus to keep my glass full while keeping the noise in the restaurant low enough so I can talk to my friends at the table. This place is fantastique! We'll be back with more people! I hope Decanter succeeds with the "real people" who want to enjoy themselves rather than look for the negative.
