Opened in September 1989, the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center is one of the my absolute favorite places to visit in Dallas. The concert hall is home to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and other organizations like the Dallas Wind Symphony, Turtle Creek Chorale and the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra.
I got to see my sister perform here when she just played for her high school band, and later when she moved on to perform with a Dallas-based wind symphony. The building is beautiful and elegant, and it evokes a certain mood that every person in attendance seems to respect.
I'm no master of architecture or acoustics, but I can safely say that the Meyerson has integrated the two seamlessly -- producing one of the most beautiful, well-designed and acoustic-friendly concert halls I've ever been in.
The lobbies and concert hall can be arranged to accommodate many functions or occasions, including meetings, seminars, trade shows, exhibits, photo and film shoots, receptions and more.
Dress code for the Meyerson will change depending on your event, so pay attention to what each function requires. I wouldn't advise showing up to a Dallas Symphony Orchestra performance in jeans and a T-shirt.

The seating capacity is 2,062. Parking is $10 in the lots across the street and $10 in the Arts District Parking Garage. The sound is acoustic perfection. But you wouldn't expect anything less from a venue that houses the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. (Full review)
