Bailey's Prime Plus / Park Lane

8160 Park Ln., Dallas, TX, 75231
(214) 750-8100 - Venue Website

The new Bailey’s Prime Plus is in the exciting Park Lane development across Central Expressway from Northpark in Dallas. Not your typical steak house, Bailey’s on Park Lane features a lighter color palette including creams, ivory and gold. It is a traditional space but with a definitive modern flair.
The centerpiece of the 12,000 square foot restaurant is the large, quietly opulent, main dining room with high (25ft) ceilings and a reflecting pool that traverses the entire space with six full size trees rising from its center.
The wine cellar features over five thousand bottles including 600 different titles from the finest wine regions worldwide.
Three private dining rooms feature patterned marble flooring, bold large-scale wallpaper and elegant, contemporary chandeliers.
The bar is warm and rich with high beamed ceilings, dark wood floors and Venetian red lounge seating. Live music and dancing Fridays and Saturdays.
The kitchen, under the direction of Executive Chef Izzy Voirin, is turning out a menu of truly exceptional steakhouse cuisine. Think prime Allen Brothers Steaks (both dry and wet aged); an eclectic choice of seafood preparations; specialty side dishes and out of this world desserts.
-------
DallasNews.com update, 10/28/09: Chris Meier, who left Capital Grille to open Bailey's Prime Plus across from NorthPark Center, left the new restaurant two weeks after it opened. Israel "Izzy" Voirin, who came over from Nick & Sam's, is the lone executive chef now.

The bar at Ed Bailey’s flagship steakhouse may seem an unlikely place for cutting-edge cocktails, but since Eddie “Lucky” Campbell took charge of the chain’s bar program last month, the drinks at Bailey’s have been nothing short of spectacular. As gorgeous as it is refreshing, one called Jasmine involves Bombay gin infused with jasmine tea, plus kumquat cordial, lemon juice and soda; circles of sliced kumquats float lazily up and down the tall glass, garnished with a sprig of lavender. Aaahhh. I also loved the Padrino, a beautifully balanced, rummy affair with a zing of pineapple-sage vermouth and soupçon of Falernum.

Head bartender Anthony Polo makes quite a show of mixing a High Maintenance, a terrific tall drink combining melon-infused tequila, grapefruit juice, crushed pink peppercorns and a touch of sea salt; he tops it with foam made from mescal and cantaloupe. His drinks are complex but not fussy, always beautifully balanced. (Full review)

In a handsome dining room with 25-foot ceilings, a row of real-looking trees and a long reflecting pool running down the center, well-heeled diners are partying like it's 1986. Or 1928. (Full review)

Sunday Evening Dinner

I had the opportunity to dine at the new Bailey's location on Park Lane. It was a great surprise to see Brian Perry at the door. The food was great and the service was impeccable. Can't wait to go back.

TERRIBLE RESTAURANT!!

Food was mediocre at best, service was bad, and it took an hour AFTER our reservation time to be seated at a table. There are way too many great restaurants in Dallas to waste your time with this one!!!!!

Top Notch!

This is a beautiful restaurant with lots of prime steaks and a large selection of seafood. My bone in strip was delicious and perfectly prepared. My friend had some salmon that she raved about. There were so many great sides it was hard to choose. They offer them in half portions though so we chose three, the creamed corn, lobster mac and cheese and steak fries. Everything was fabulous. Service was very friendly and they gave us a complimentary glass of champagne in the bar. I loved it so much I made a reservation for myself and my family for next weekend!
