UPDATE: Park's back lounge has opened. Bar Céline looks small and cozy, with chinoiserie-clad walls and long banquettes covered in tweed and corduroy. A lounge menu separate from Park's is in the works.

It isn’t every day that a press release lists the landscape specialist at a new restaurant, but there it is for Park, a concept with a planned opening in late June 2009 on Henderson Avenue. Jason Pautz is responsible for the landscaping and Breck Woolsey for design of the indoor-outdoor restaurant, which includes the Bocce Bar, with two full-size bocce courts. Chef Marc Cassel, formerly of Dragonfly at Hotel ZaZa and the Green Room, will feature what he calls “collision cuisine.” (What is that, fusion cooking that doesn’t stick?)

Park, Donald Chick's swingy 2-month-old restaurant on Henderson Avenue, is like a bad boyfriend. It's great-looking, hip and you want to love it, but is that really in your best interest? (Full review)
