Is there enough room on a stage for the gargantuan hip-hop egos of Kanye West and Jay-Z? Apparently there is, judging by the success of the “Watch the Throne Tour,” which stops Dec. 6 at American Airlines Center. The 27-city trek, which began Oct. 28 in Atlanta and closes Dec. 17 in Vancouver, Canada, stems of course from Watch the Throne, the explosive, much-talked-about CD collaboration between the two rap royals. Like the forceful punch of the disc, which proves equally exhilarating and confounding, the “Throne” show is said to feature an elaborate, visually arresting stage set and a long set list of 37 songs. Hey, you’ve got to give West and Z plenty of spotlight attention, both individually and together. Expect to hear Throne singles such as “H-A-M,” “Otis” and “Lift Off” as well as solo material such as West’s “Heartless” and “Runaway” and Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” and “99 Problems.”
