This non-stop celebration in its 15th year is often described as the “Woodstock of Gaming” – one of the largest video game conferences in the world that was created by gamers for gamers. Thousands of gamers are expected to come from all over the globe to play with their friends on a giant gaming network, see the latest technology and compete in three electronic gaming tournaments. The four-day event will include North America’s largest Bring-Your-Own-Computer (BYOC) LAN party, drawings and cash-prize contests, exhibits, non-stop entertainment, parties and events. The convention, sponsored by id Software and other software and hardware manufacturers, was first created in 1996 by a group of friends on Internet Relay Chat (IRC) and continues to be run by a group of all-volunteers.
