I'm constantly surprised at the sheer number of restaurants in Dallas, particularly Uptown. Amazingly, it seems there's always room for one more. Cretia's isn't exactly new; for years it was a neighborhood standby, in the space that has recently become Sushi on McKinney. Now it has reopened about three blocks north. (Full review)

A crying shame!

We visited Cretia's on McKinney after reading the D-Magazines review of this place. What a crock of $#^**!! Here we thought this is a reputable rag and we make the drive out.
This place was a huge disappointment (the food was uninspired and tasteless) Are these people serving canned, processed foods? in a nutshell our experience eating there, the food and the service was so far below par as to be, on some level, insulting. I have no idea why D Magazine would stoop to this level - We have all vowed never ever to step foot into this dump and let it be known that D Magazine has truly failed to be our source for what's good. You're looking for a loud crowded crowd of drunks hovering over you while you eat then hey why not patronize a dump like this. They must have been comped the food or the writer is a good friend of the owner. This place is not a restaurant this place is a BAR! The desserts are not fresh - they are trucked in and you can't tell me this place sells through daily and restocks daily! We were not taking our chances on dessert after the meal we opted to bolt for the door. We'll stick with what we know. Shame on you D- You surely have lost credibility.

Disappointing

We recently went to this venue and found the food, atmosphere & service disappointing. Our food arrived cold, the crowd was very intoxicated and the waiters were in party mode. Not an enjoyable experience.

Enjoyable, comfortable, and good food

I went to Cretia's and enjoyed a nice dinner on the patio. The staff is very accommodating. My friend and I split a pizza and salad with red wine. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the wine, too. There is a full bar and wine list, too. They also had karaoke on a Thursday night with a big crowd on the patio for that which looked like fun too.
