The location is problematic — on the second floor of a strip shopping center — but Wish caters successfully to early-onset big spenders, filling up on weekends with 20-somethings willing to shell out for bottle service. All the seating, including the wrap-around patio and a separate VIP room, is dedicated to bottle service. It's much more handsome than its predecessor, Drama Room, and appears to be hanging in there in an area, Knox-Henderson, overstocked with high-end lounges.

From QuickDFW.com (04/2006):
At this "ultralounge" at the corner of Knox and Central Expressway, everyone looks sexy and rich (except those in jeans and sandals) in the cool blue lights. The bar, located in the former Drama Room space above Fadi's restaurant, boasts three VIP areas and an outdoor patio with full-size beds. (All of the seating is for bottle service only, natch.) The decor is sleek and minimalist, with lots of white upholstery and filmy curtains. There's also a room exclusively for folks who want to drop $1,500 to $3,000 for an annual membership. Of course, with high-rollers like that running around, the owners are being picky about who'll they'll let past the velvet ropes - the club is available to just pre-selected people. A small portion of the public will be allowed in, but "we reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone," says co-operating partner Sam Sameni. So is it worth it? If you like sipping cocktails with tanned, skinny women in trendy clothes, and men in slacks and blazers - sure. If you show up, though, leave the flip-flops at home. (The sandals-clad bar manager at Nikita was nearly turned away on my trip.) The lounge is open Thursday through Saturday. DJs spin a variety of house music, with some hip-hop thrown in.
