Don’t go looking for Tex-Mex. This plain, family-run Oak Cliff eatery focuses on peasant-style Mexico City comfort food that includes some authentic culinary treasures, such as chicharrón prensado (pressed pork skins and meat in an earthy, costeño chile sauce) and crisped plantains. Everything is handmade from family recipes, starting with the corn and flour tortillas. Good mole verde with dark-meat chicken, too. BYOB.
