Grimaldi's

3636 McKinney Ave., Dallas, TX, 75334
(214) 559-4611 - Venue Website

In the world of pizza, Grimaldi's Pizzeria is an institution. Grimaldi's history of coal-fired brick oven cooking can be traced back to the first pizzeria in America back in 1905. Coal-fired brick oven cooking gives pizza a unique smoky flavor and a crisp crust that is just not possible with gas, convection or wood ovens.

Knowing coal-fired brick oven cooking is a dying art, Grimaldi's wants to ensure that future generations will be able to experience this distinctive and truly authentic pizza. It is the passion for pizza that made Grimaldi's Pizzeria a "must have" for pizza lovers and celebrities alike, including Frank Sinatra, and former NYC Major Giuliani.

Grimaldi's fresh ingredients, homemade mozzarella cheese "secret recipe" pizza sauce and dough have made Grimaldi's the most award winning pizzeria in the United States.

The red-and-white-checkered tablecloths; the rich, dark woods; Sinatra playing overhead. We get it. We're supposed to be having a New York moment at Grimaldi's. But those hokey subway signs hanging over the bar? Overkill. (Full review)

And salads too.

I agree, the pizza is fantastic. Get the extra cheese and pepperoni's. It is great. Also, try the salads. You will be very impressed. They are large enough for 3-5 people. A nice little addition to the pizza.

GREAT pizza...

I'm from Chicago, and I prefer Chicago Pizza.... but Grimaldi's pizza is terrific. Nice place... but the pizza is the reason to go. Crust & sauce are excellent. Try the roasted peppers or the sliced meatballs. Most Dallas pizza is just average... Grimaldi's is worth the trip.
