La familia

Adapted from eight stories, these life-affirming, dynamically dramatized monoloques appear in Teresa Marrero's recent book, Between Argentina and Cuba: Nomad Stories of Travels and Tangos, Buenos Aires: Corregidos, 2009. A fetus who does not want to be born speaks from the womb. Her existance ties the lives of eight others, some of whom are strangers. In the process of telling their stories, this "family" invites the audience to connect the links that tie them together. Performance in Spanish.
