Dahlia Woods Gallery is, with its new show, “4 Women/4 Visions,” touting what it calls four “visionary” Texas artists — Etty Horowitz, Katie Maratta, Jamie Pink and Dahlia Woods. In the words of managing director Jonathan Woods, each brings her own “unique riff on what it means to live in Texas on planet Earth now.” We like the promise that Maratta brings to the show by capturing what Woods calls “the big skies and wide-angle vistas of rural Texas in her unique 1-inch-by-48-inch miniature black and white landscapes … Never has small seemed so big.” And the gallery’s namesake, Dahlia Woods, offers painted scenes of Dallas, West Texas, Italy and “wherever her feet take her around the world.”
The opening reception is 10/23 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
