The Art of Architecture: Foster + Partners

The AT&T Performing Arts Center opens Oct. 12. In preparation for that unveiling, the Nasher Sculpture Center is offering a retrospective of the work of Pritzker Prize-winning architect Norman Foster and his firm, which is designing one of the three new buildings at the center, the Winspear Opera House. It’s part of the Nasher’s effort to showcase contemporary architecture, an example of which is its own Renzo Piano-designed building. The exhibition will look at the major architectural achievements of Foster’s firm, Foster + Partners, spanning four decades. As Jeremy Strick, the new director of the Nasher has noted, the Dallas Arts District will soon have four buildings within a contiguous block designed by Pritzker Architecture Prize winners.
