Decked out in Lone Stars that make it undeniably Texan, the ballpark is a tribute to America's national pastime. The open-air stadium that is home to the Texas Rangers was built with tradition and fan comfort in mind, containing a home run porch in right field where every kid has a chance to catch a ball and a Friday's Front Row Sports Grill where every mom can catch a break away from the heat.
The ballpark opened on April 1, 1994, as the centerpiece of a 270-acre complex. That complex includes a Legends of the Game Baseball Museum, a children's learning center, an office building within the ballpark, a youth baseball park, a 12-acre lake and a park area. The total cost of the project was approximately $191 million.
The ballpark is easily accessible from Interstate 30, at the corner of Randol Mill Road and Ballpark Way.
The park's overall seating capacity is 49,166 with seats in five levels.
